The 9th Cubby House Challenge to help fight youth homelessness is underway!
Five finalists were chosen to design and build a cubby house they would have loved to play in as kids as part of the Kids Under Cover charity competition. The cubbies will be auctioned in March at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show with an aim to help Kids Under Cover raise $150,000 in 2017. The cubbies will also be judged by a panel of experts to find ‘Australia’s Best Cubby!’
Probuild Constructions was one of five successful companies and commissioned SBS Group to pre-fabricate the lightweight steel frame structure for their ‘Chameleon’.
The ‘Chameleon by Probuild’: A colourful cubby filled with bizarre shapes and a changing face!
Probuild’s tepee-shaped ‘Chameleon’ is full of surprises with different interactive facades, a skyscraper with an openable window, a rocket and a green wall. Set on a pentagonal base, the colourful cubby offers a rabbit hole, a rope ladder as well as a crow’s nest with a top deck that can be accessed from a ladder.
‘Kids Under Cover’ is a not for profit organisation, dedicated towards the prevention of youth homelessness. Find out more about the Cubby House Challenge and check out all five creations here >
Congratulations Probuild Constructions on being chosen as a finalist and thanks for the opportunity to support this charity!
What do you think? Does the ‘Chameleon’ deserve the title of ‘Australia’s Best Cubby?’
